Albras earns Gold Seal in the GHG Protocol for the 7th year in a row

30 de October de 2024

Albras has been consecutively awarded the Gold Seal since 2017, attesting to the company’s commitment to and the transparency of its inventory of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The qualification, the last one referring to 2023, validates the company’s environmental management system, attesting that it meets the requirements of international standards.

The achievement of the seal for seven consecutive years demonstrates Albras’ effort to maintain high quality standards and traceability in its reported emissions. Retaining the Gold Seal requires continued compliance with the established criteria. The audit, conducted by Bureau Veritas Certification, attested to the reliability of the data and processes used by the companies in preparing the inventories.

The inventories cover the three scopes of emissions:

Scope 1: Direct emissions, such as fuel consumption.

Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the generation of consumed electrical energy.

Scope 3: Other indirect emissions, such as transportation of raw materials and supplier activities.

“It is a pleasure to announce that Albras has once again received the Gold Seal in the GHG Protocol Program. This reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. By reaching this milestone, we not only strengthen our position but also reaffirm our commitment to creating a more sustainable future for all,” says Luiz Roberto Silva Junior, president of Albras.
