Sustainability and Social Impact
Albras strives to foster a more viable society by developing natural resources to produce low-carbon aluminum. This goal is centered on three pillars of sustainability: climate, environment and society. We believe in dialog and collective action as the basis for the development of global- and local-reach strategies that promote people’s development, foster a circular economy and offer high-quality education.

Social Dialogue
Albras carries out important social work in partnership with local communities at Barcarena. Through dialogue and collective action, we have developed various initiatives that prioritize global and local action strategies as tools to promote quality education and development for people.
Corporate Volunteering
As a part of Volunteers in Action, an initiative by Hydro Brazil and Albras, the company has helped set up the Albras Volunteering Committee, meant to encourage employees, family members and contractors to do voluntary work as a means to engage with the realities of the territories in which the two companies operate. The idea is to turn these volunteers into multipliers and promoters of positive change.
